All our Noise

Life After Records is now proudly syndicated over at All Our Noise! Go there, check out the site, and you can stream LARP episodes right from your browser instead of having to download them. Cool! New episodes will be posted to this blog and will appear over there in a significantly prettier and more user-friendly form.

Also, as a bonus, here's the first episode ever, which was only really shared with friends and wasn't mass-circulated. Flashback!

Episode One - get it before it expires!

New episode coming this Friday. Memorial day, you know.

I'm really getting into the new Boris, Smile, Japan version. Boris are a band that I never found as interesting as everyone else , mainly because their sludge just seemed like Melvins/Earth rehash and their pretty seemed like cookie-cutter MBV'isms. But Smile is really turning my crank with the big pop hooks, the great pysch touches, and the Stoogesy rocking out at times. Cohesive! Expect to hear me say all of this almost verbatim in Friday's episode.

Also listening to new Zorn (The Dreamers), that recent M83, The Trees' Christian-pysch classic The Christ Tree, Nilsson's Flash Harry, a lot of Ghostbox stuff, Chris (Carter) and Cosey (Fanni-Tutti)'s Trance, Patty Waters on Esp-Disk, old Tom Waits, new Matmos, Laura Nyro, and Panic at the Disco. Totally not joking about that last one.

Go here and fill your pockets while you can. See you Friday.

Heritage, not hate

Episode 3 is here like Revenge of the Sith.

You can also use this page to subscribe to an RSS feed that will alert you whenever I make a new post, which is presumably whenever there's a new episode up. You'll still have to come here to actually download it. I'm planning to set something up so that you can just subscribe and automatically download the actual mp3, OR just stream it online, but I don't really know how to do that stuff yet.
